The picturesque St Paul’s Square in the heart of Birmingham is home to the popular restaurant and live music venue The Jam House. Birmingham’s famous jewellery quarter has become quite a dining hotspot and the Jool’s Holland owned Jam House is a real favourite. Not only will you find some of the best live music in town, from jazz, blues and boogie to rhythm and blues and even dance music, the restaurant is pretty damn good too. Set in a 3 storey Georgian building, The Jam House is spread out over 3 floors and has a capacity for up to 600 people. The restaurant can be found at the top and the kitchen is open plan, meaning you can watch the chefs at work. The menu is an international affair with some exciting dishes on offer. try the bloody Mary gazpacho with rice crackers and avocado sorbet to start with followed by Japanese breaded salmon fillet with harissa roast potatoes and kai lan or warm lamb salad with dandelion, cucumber and minted cous cous. After a great meal head downstairs to catch a great live act, you never know, you may even see Jools himself playing a few tunes!
