Housed in a former bank, fine-dining restaurant Sevendials on Buckingham Place in Brighton has a seasonal à la carte menu that rotates every six weeks, featuring fresh produce from Sussex and Kent

 

Sevendials is a family-owned fine dining restaurant in the heart of Seven Dials in Brighton just a few minutes from Brighton main line station and the seafront. Occupying a former bank, the high ceilings and well-spaced tables add to the airy intimacy of the interior, with a brightly painted private room downstairs and a decked and heated terrace for al fresco dining. Sevendials Owner/Head Chef Sam Metcalfe, who has worked in a host of top London restaurants including Chez Nico, The Groucho Club, L'Escargot, and Pied a Terre, has created a smart, seasonal modern European menu of the highest calibre. Expect the likes of Roast goose breast, goose fat potatoes, braised savoy cabbage & bacon, cranberry compote, Braised beef in real ale sauce with smoked bacon, horseradish mash, salsify & carrots, Pan fried local scallops, fennel confit, salt crust potatoes & sauce vierge & Jerusalem artichoke, leek & stilton pithivier with warm winter vegetable salad and salted almonds, as well as hearty roasts on Sundays. Friendly attentive service and a fantastic wine list to match ensure that Sevendials restaurant is regarded as one of the South Coast's finest new restaurants – but be warned, booking well in advance is absolutely essential.
