Rhubarb is a fantastic little restaurant located in the trendy Burton Road area of West Didsbury, Manchester. Opened in 2002 by husband and wife team Mark & Lisa Ramsden, Rhubarb now boasts a loyal following of Mancunian regulars and fashionable visitors. The restaurant is a stylish eatery with quaint window boxes, mulberry coloured walls and walnut chairs and with graphic floral canvasses adorning the walls. The front of house, managed by Lisa, offers a very warm welcome and service is first class. Mark, a chef of twenty years, head up the kitchen and has created an exciting menu of Modern Eclectic cuisine. Menu highlights include the porcini mushroom risotto dressed with truffle oil and parmesan cheese, the slow cooked lamb shank with pumpkin and cheese mash and root vegetables and the skate wing cooked with capers, lemon and herbs. From the perfect romantic meal for two to a large business gathering, Rhubarb caters for all occasions and is one of the area’s best dining spots.
