The speciality at Iggs restaurant is fish using only the finest Scottish produce, complemented by imported Spanish ingredients. The choice of Primeros are all tempting, & highly recommended is the Selecccion de Tapitas, a platter of tiny portions of seafood starters, such as scallops, Iggs' gamba cake, Sea bass mousse and clam chowder. For Segundos, sample the classic Zarzuela, shellfish and chorizo stew with saffron rice or Iberico Pork (from pigs fed on acorns), served with slow braised pork belly and a sweet and sour apple cider reduction balancing the salty meat. Tuna Steak Meuniere is pan fried pink, almost rare, with potatoes and provencal tomato - fresh, simple, perfect. Ice cream and chocolate desserts or try the superb cured Spanish cheese board. Iggs has won the AA wine list award for three years (2005-2007) for its extensive Spanish wine, sherry and liqueur cellar. Iggs is a real treasure of a restaurant and the perfect place for any occasion. Highly recommended.
