Hadrian's Brassiere nestles in the heart of the opulent 5 star Blamoral Hotel in Edinburgh, its Art Deco inspired interior of walnut floors, lime and soft heather coloured walls giving it an informal relaxing ambience. The combination of colours was inspired by the natural landscapes of Edinburgh, taking the Salisbury Crags, sea and sky as influences. Hadrian's Brasserie uses a host of superb Scottish ingredients like Loch Fyne Oysters & Shetland salmon, which all blend beautifully with the innovative modern European menu. Starters include Scotch Broth, Pave of Foie Gras with Duck Rilette and Musk's Chipolata Sausages wrapped in Bacon with Fried Quail Egg, while mains feature the likes of Grilled Fillet of Shetland Salmon with Spiced Cous Cous and Lime Butter, Poached Blade of Scottish Beef, as well as Scottish classics such as Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and Blairgowrie Lamb Cutlets. Hadrian's Prix Fixe Menu (2 courses £14.95/ 3 courses £17.95 available until 6pm) offers a choice of 5 starters and mains with vegetarian and fish option and delicious desserts including a Whisky Panacotta with Scottish Berries. An extensive wine list partners this Celtic inspired menu and the friendly service is welcoming & friendly.
