Gaucho Grill Manchester is an Argentinean restaurant specialising in the famous Argentinian beef, renowned as the best in the world, which is matured for between six and eight weeks then flown in direct from Buenos Aires. All Gaucho Grills are housed in unique buildings and the Manchester restaurant is no exception. It started life as a Methodist hall and still retains the organ and organ pipes, but is contemporary in design with cowhide seats & sexy, low lighting. Designed by internationally renowned chef Douglas Rodrigues, the menu at Gaucho Grill Manchester includes starters of grilled sweetbreads served with chimichurri and lemon or grilled lobster tail and gambas served with herb aioli and lemon, followed by mains such as Argentine-style chicken sausage served with crispy onion hay,pickled jalapeño and cherry mojo or Monkfish, mango, orange, red onion and pomegranate with an Aji Amarillo citrus sauce and coriander. The Argentine steaks are what you really want to come here for though; they're the best. All are served with either chips or baked potato and a sauce of your choice. There are quality vegetarians options too, such escolar (seafish) and octopus marinated in lime, chillies and coriander, served with roasted sweet potato slices.
