Opened in 2008 in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, top class French restaurant Aubergine at the Compleat Angler is the sister restaurant of the legendary Michelin starred Aubergine in London’s Chelsea. Housed in the luxury MacDonald Compleat Angler Hotel and boastings stunning views over Marlow Weir, this impressive restaurant has already received top marks from both the critics and residents alike. The immaculate décor is in keeping with the Aubergine theme with olive green and warm purple colours and little aubergine motifs adorning the silverware. The small window looking into the kitchen is a great little touch and means that diners can catch a birdseye view of the masters at work. Executive Chef Miles Nixon has created an exquisite menu of French haute cuisine which includes a gourmand taster menu as well as an a la carte menu featuring dishes such as pan fried fillet of red mullet with caramelised fennel and sardine purée or saddle of Lune Valley lamb with confit turnips and thyme.
