Located on Pitt Street in the centre of Glasgow, Alla Turca - The Turkish Melody Restaurant is Glasgow's most famous live music restaurant

 

Captivating Alla Turca, or The Turkish Melody, is an entertaining take on Turkish tradition set in the centre of Glasgow. Mellow woods and sleek glass tables keep things contemporary in the restaurant, while the traditional saz player plays atmospheric folk tunes that add to the romantic, intimate mood. Food is a similar mix of the old and the innovative, from classic and 'wild' vegetarian mezes and traditional barbecues to chicken casserole with apricots and plums in kajin sauce or Authentic Aberdeen Angus rib-eye steak (Millers of Speyside in Highlands) with barbequed tomatoes, barbequed wild mushrooms, home made maris piper hand cut chips and aromatic Turkish spiced peppercorn sauce. Come the weekend, dancers accompany the musicians to create quite a show, making Alla Turca one of the most entertaining restaurants in Glasgow.

This is one of my most favorite Glasgow Restaurant, it is excellent as always but busier than ever on a Monday evening! Live music added a very nice touch on the background and their new summer menu was amazing! Try pear & hellim salad to start, hand dived scallops with asparagus as a main and turkish delight creme brule to finish, all of them are to die for with a good and friendly service. Heartly recommended.<br />
